Terms of Service
These are the terms and conditions on which Dog Food Therapy supplies its products and services to you. Please read them carefully. By using our website or purchasing a consultation or guide, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
“Dog Food Therapy” (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a canine nutrition practice owned and operated by Brittany Ippolito. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, consultations, digital guides, newsletters, and any other products or services we offer, now or in the future (collectively, the “Services”).
2. Not veterinary or medical advice
Dog Food Therapy provides supplemental nutritional information, education, and opinion only. Brittany Ippolito holds a Certificate in Canine Nutrition through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute but is not a veterinarian, physician, or registered dietitian. Nothing provided through the Services is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult your veterinarian before making changes to your dog’s diet or health routine, and seek immediate veterinary attention for any medical concern. You are solely responsible for decisions you make regarding your dog’s care.
3. Eligibility
The Services are intended for adults. By using the Services, booking a consultation, or purchasing a product, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and able to enter into a binding agreement.
4. Accounts
Some Services require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please provide accurate information, keep it current, and notify us promptly at dogfoodtherapy@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use.
5. Consultations and services
Consultations are provided on an informational basis and depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information you share about your dog. Recommendations are general guidance based on that information and are not guaranteed to produce any particular result. You remain responsible for how you choose to apply any guidance, and for coordinating with your veterinarian.
6. Purchases, payments, and refunds
Prices for consultations and guides are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details. Because our guides are digital products delivered immediately, all guide sales are final and non-refundable once the product has been accessed or downloaded. For consultation packages, if you have not yet begun your consultation you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase; once a consultation has started, fees are non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at dogfoodtherapy@gmail.comand we’ll work with you in good faith.
7. Digital guides and license to use
When you purchase a guide, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, share, sublicense, or redistribute our guides or other materials without our written permission.
8. Your content
You may share information, files, photos, messages, and health data about your dog (“Your Content”) with us. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and use Your Content solely as needed to provide the Services to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share anything you submit, and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.
9. Confidentiality
Information you share with us in the course of a consultation is treated as private and is not sold or disclosed to unrelated third parties, except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
10. Our intellectual property
The Services and all materials we provide — including the Dog Food Therapy name, logo, text, graphics, designs, guides, and software (the “Materials”) — are owned by Dog Food Therapy or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable license to access and use the Materials as intended by the Services. All other rights are reserved.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to them, infringing others’ rights, or using them for any unlawful purpose.
12. Third-party services and links
The Services rely on trusted third-party providers (for example, for payments, hosting, and email) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties, and your use of their services is governed by their own terms and policies.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from following our guidance.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dog Food Therapy and Brittany Ippolito will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Services giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dog Food Therapy and Brittany Ippolito from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Services, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Services in a way that could cause harm or legal liability. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
